1. Breathing
Good oxygen intake will help in instant relaxation. When you feel stressed, relax and take deep breaths slowly. Inhale deeply, hold your breath for sometime and exhale. Count 1 to 100 slowly as you breathe and loosen your muscles to relax well.
2. Smile
A smile always happens when one is happy and gay. A smile but has reverse effects too, as in when you forcefully smile, you loosen up your muscles and relax. Try smiling when you are in dire need of some relaxation. Think about pleasant memories, go through them and visualize them in your mind.
3. Be a Fighter
When stressed out, don’t make yourself feel like a victim and a loser. Never be passive, react and be proactive to situations; this will help you fight stress effectively.
4. Warm Up
Rub your palms together until it feels warm. Place both your palm on both your eyes and enjoy the warmth and darkness. This is a quick method to feel relaxed.
5. Hot Bath
Nothing can beat a hot bath for relaxation. It is still the most effective method to relieve stress and anxiety. If you are in office or anywhere outside while feeling stressed, wash your face, hands and feet in hot water and visualise a nice relaxing hot bath. Visualisation is the key to relaxation, fundamentally.
