1-minute mug cakes


Imagine this: You are ‘stressed’ and you stand in front of a mirror. What do you see? Well yes, it’s ‘desserts’! While making your own desserts may not be your cup of tea, these delicious recipes are surely everyone’s mug of cake.


Note that cooking timings are based on a 1200 W microwave.

Banana bread

Here is a joyous treat right from the minions’ kitchen to make you go bananas! 


  • ¼ cup ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp flavourless oil
  • ¼ tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • ¼ tbsp baking powder
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt


  • Mix the banana with oil, honey and vanilla extract in a microwaveable mug
  • Add the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon and mix well
  • Microwave for 1 minute
  • Sprinkle some cinnamon on its top and serve


Nutella mug cake

From lazy sundays to post-workout cravings, Nutella is always the winner. Give a shot to this yummy mug cake and tell us later what heaven felt like! 


  • 4 tbsp flour
  • ⅕ tbsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp Nutella
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  • Combine all ingredients in a microwaveable mug and whisk well with a fork, until smooth
  • Microwave for 1 minute
  • Your delicious mug cake is ready to serve


Gooey Chocolate mug cake

Every time is chocolate time, especially when you can relish this deliciously gooey mug cake in a minute by mixing just 4 basic ingredients. 


  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Chocolate chips


  • In a microwaveable bowl, mix all the ingredients well
  • Once mixed, microwave for 1 minute
  • Top with some more chocolate chips and serve


Strawberry mug cake

Everything tastes good with strawberries. Prepare this dessert and enjoy strawberries-in-a-mug. 


  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp plain flour
  • ½ tbsp sugar
  • ⅛ tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tbsp rolled oats
  • A pinch of cinnamon


  • Mix the strawberries with sugar and vanilla extract in a mug
  • Pour melted butter and mix with a fork
  • Mix rest of the ingredients until you achieve the desired consistency
  • Microwave for 1 minute
  • Top your cake with fresh cream and sprinkles
  • Serve and enjoy
